Petroleum Skies
03:43
|
|||
Rising up into the air
haze is all around.
Fire falls from solar flares
burnin' on the ground.
and it’s still burning.
Towers stretch into the sky
make a city from a town.
And all the trucks are passing by;
adding to the sound… (of fortune)
Under petroleum skies we quietly live our lives
although our time is fading
Before we lay down and die we'll find out just what it’s like
to break it... the earth is shaking.
Under Petroleum Skies
Drilling deeper under ground
all for the crown.
Striking gold, we’ll melt it down
riches are found;
and we’ll keep searching.
Slave to the grid that lets us live
never let us down
Just take your cheque and turn around
never show a frown;
and keep on walkin’

Horizon
03:25
|
|||
Cruising down the road yesteryear
Can’t seem to remember, everclear
Trying my best to keep between the lines
Flash in the sky or am I just blind?
My heart is racing and I’m losing my mind
Press the pedal right down to the floor once more
Some say they’ve seen
Some things you can not explain
It’s time to open our eyes
It’s time to open our minds
(We’re not alone…)
Haunting figures are all around
I know I’m lost never to be found
Rising up never to be seen again
Bony fingers and oily eyes
Unearthly beings from beyond the sunrise
Bell tolls, the end is near
But this time I will not disappear

Crooked Bush
03:27
|
|||
Headed down highway 40, North Saskatchewan
There is a grid road that gets you there, to a place called the Crooked Bush
It’s a forest of botanical mystery, as old as the earth beneath of it
Stretching your imagination its masters protect its lies
Some say shiny chariots passed it from up high
But many others believe that it’s where death’s angels lie
Welcome to the Crooked Bush
Twisted trees surrounding us
Take heed as you walk around the bend
But not at night, or you’ll meet your end
Silent sentinels guard the grove
Origins held in its roots
Dizzy, lightheaded, the full moon rises
And the brave touch the soil below
Some say shiny chariots passed it from up high
But many others believe that it’s where death’s angels lie
Welcome to the Crooked Bush
Twisted trees surrounding us
Take heed as you walk around the bend
But not at night, or you’ll meet your end

Get Ahead Fall Behind
04:17
|
|||
A century of lies and crimes, with T.V. shows to fog our minds.
There is a fact that we must face, somethings wrong with the human race.
I have opened my eyes.
I can see the truth surrounding my mind.
Getting ahead just to fall behind,
Part of the plan to keep us in line.
World leaders threaten nuclear war, realize we are the pawns on the board.
System disabled and thoroughly worn, tension is rising it’s a bomb at your door.
I have opened my eyes.
I can see the truth surrounding my mind.
Getting ahead just to fall behind,
Part of the plan to keep us in line.
A new breed of man is born, unseat the throne of our overlords
Weary eyes watch us from the sky, questioning our motives why
Beyond lost, circuits crossed, denial dies keep breaking the laws
Technology has brought us this far, when will we know who we truly are.
I have opened my eyes.
I can see the truth surrounding my mind.
Getting ahead just to fall behind,
Part of the plan to keep us in line.
Open my eyes.
I can see the truth surrounding my mind.
We’re falling behind.
Part of the plan to keep us in line.

Ominous
03:57
|
|||
All of the times we’ve seen have changed, all of our minds they’re not the same
Although the day has come, I’m not moving on.
And though the past it still remains, reminded by the dust and decay
Maybe we have gone, but not for too long...
We’re so close, not a billion miles away
Oh, we’re not alone, we fear the day.
The day will come, we’ll ride towards the sky.
But don’t worry now, the end is nigh’.
Now the machines have won, visitors dead and done
What is left to come? No one’s to say.
And when I look outside, much to my surprise
There’s nowhere left to hide. The future’s today.
We’re so close, not a billion miles away
Oh, we’re not alone, we fear the day.
The day will come, we’ll ride towards the sky.
But don’t worry now, the end is nigh’.
And when I look outside, much to my surprise
There’s nowhere left to hide. The future’s today.
